Terms of Service

Last updated: October 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of Sprivo — the app and the website sprivo.app — whether you are a cleaning professional or a client. By creating an account or using Sprivo, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy. Sections that apply only to cleaning professionals or only to clients say so in their heading.

1. Who we are

Sprivo is the trade name under which Hugo Vinícius da Silva runs his sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) in the Netherlands.

  • Address: Koning Davidstraat 93, 1502 NX Zaandam, the Netherlands
  • Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 42113154
  • VAT number: NL005502768B63
  • E-mail: legal@sprivo.app (privacy questions: privacy@sprivo.app)

2. What Sprivo is

Sprivo is software. It helps independent cleaning professionals run their work — calendar, clients, bookings, chat, and Cover, where they can pass a job to another Sprivo cleaner — and it lets their clients book and chat with them. Sprivo is not an employer or an agency. It does not arrange, supervise or guarantee any cleaning, its price or its payment. If you are a cleaning professional, you are independent and decide your own services, prices, clients and how you are paid.

3. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Subscription and billing (cleaning professionals)

Clients use Sprivo for free. For cleaning professionals, Sprivo is an auto-renewing subscription: €14.99 per month or €149.99 per year. New accounts include 30 days of free access; you need no payment details for them and nothing is charged when they end. If you subscribe on the web, your paid plan starts at once and any free days you had left end. On iOS, the subscription starts with a 1-month free trial for new subscribers. On iOS, payment is charged to your Apple ID account and the subscription is managed or cancelled in your App Store settings; on the web, billing is handled by Stripe. Web prices include 21% Dutch VAT (BTW); in the App Store, Apple charges the VAT that applies in your country. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Price changes: we tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does. In the App Store, Apple also informs you and, where its rules require it, asks for your consent.

5. Cancelling, withdrawal and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time: on sprivo.app under Your plan → Manage subscription, or, for an App Store subscription, in your Apple ID subscription settings. Your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Apart from the withdrawal right below, we do not refund the unused part of a period, unless the law requires it.

  • Web subscriptions — 14 days to withdraw: if you subscribe on the web as a consumer (for yourself, not for your business or profession), you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason. Tell us by e-mail at legal@sprivo.app or by post; you may use the model form below. We refund what you paid within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method. If you expressly asked for the service to start within those 14 days and confirmed that you would then pay for the days used, we deduct the amount for the days before you withdrew.
  • App Store purchases: subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are sold and billed by Apple, and Apple decides on refunds. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; we cannot refund App Store purchases ourselves.
  • Cleaning jobs: Sprivo does not take payments for cleaning jobs. Cancelling a cleaning, and any refund for it, is agreed between the client and the cleaner.

Model withdrawal form (fill it in and send it only if you want to withdraw):

  • To: Sprivo, Koning Davidstraat 93, 1502 NX Zaandam, the Netherlands — legal@sprivo.app
  • I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: the Sprivo subscription (monthly / yearly)
  • Subscribed on:
  • Name:
  • Address:
  • E-mail address of my Sprivo account:
  • Signature (only if this form is sent on paper):
  • Date:

6. Payments for cleaning jobs

  • Clients pay their cleaner directly — for example in cash or by bank transfer — in whatever way they agree. Sprivo is not involved, holds no money, and only records what the cleaner enters, such as marking a job as paid.
  • Card payments through Sprivo are not offered at the moment. If we introduce them, we will tell you the fee and the terms before you can switch them on.
  • Cleaning professionals are responsible for their own taxes, invoicing and any registration or legal obligations that apply to their work.

7. Your responsibilities (cleaning professionals)

You agree to comply with the laws that apply to you, to have the right to use any client information you add, to provide your services professionally, and not to misuse the app. For the personal data of your clients that you keep in Sprivo, you are the controller and Sprivo is your processor; section 18 sets out the terms of that processing.

8. For clients

  • A Sprivo account is free for clients, and Sprivo never charges you.
  • Sprivo is a tool. When you book a cleaning, your agreement is with the cleaner, not with Sprivo. Sprivo is not a party to it and does not arrange, supervise or guarantee the cleaning, its price or its payment.
  • A booking request is only a request: it becomes a booking when the cleaner accepts it.
  • Cleaners on Sprivo are independent. Sprivo does not check their identity or qualifications, or whether they work as a business (a trader) or as a private person. If a cleaner is not a trader, the EU consumer-protection rights you have against businesses do not apply to your agreement with her. Ask your cleaner if this matters to you.
  • You pay your cleaner directly, in the way you agree with her. Changes, cancellations and refunds for a cleaning are between you and your cleaner.
  • If you invite someone from your household, they see your cleaner, your bookings and your conversation with her, and your phone number and address if you added them.
  • If a cleaner or her profile breaks the law or these terms, report it (section 11).

9. Client search and how results are ordered

In the Sprivo app, clients can search for cleaning professionals. Appearing there is optional: a cleaner appears only while she has switched on her listing and her free trial or subscription is active. If you list your profile, you are responsible for its accuracy. Clients choose whom to contact at their own discretion; Sprivo does not vet, employ or guarantee either party.

How results are ordered:

  • Clients see listed cleaners, filtered by the city or area they type (matched against the cleaner’s city or service area) and by any price or language filter they choose. The client’s current cleaner is not repeated in the results.
  • Results are ordered by average star rating, highest first; cleaners without reviews come last. Cleaners with the same rating are ordered alphabetically by name. At most 50 cleaners are loaded, in that order.
  • If the client chooses a distance, only those of these 50 who added their approximate location and are within that distance are shown, nearest first; so a cleaner nearby who is not among the 50 is not shown. Distance is calculated from the client’s location and the cleaner’s approximate location, so it works only when both are known.
  • No one can pay for a higher place, and Sprivo does not promote anyone in the results.

Why this order: the average rating is the only measure in Sprivo of what clients who booked a cleaner thought of her work, so it counts most. Cleaners without reviews come last only because there is no rating to compare yet. The name only decides between equal ratings, and distance counts only when the client asks for it.

10. Reviews

  • Only a client whose booking request the cleaner accepted can review that cleaner. Each client account can leave one review per cleaner, and can change or delete it later, unless we have hidden it.
  • A review is a rating from 1 to 5 stars with an optional comment. It is shown publicly with the cleaner’s profile, without the client’s name.
  • Sprivo checks that the reviewer has a booking the cleaner accepted. Sprivo does not check that the cleaning took place, and does not otherwise verify reviews.
  • Sprivo does not pay for reviews and does not edit them. Cleaners cannot remove reviews. We may hide a review that breaks these terms (section 11) — for example a fake or abusive review, or one that is not about the cleaning; a hidden review is no longer shown or counted. Anyone can report a review to legal@sprivo.app.
  • A cleaner’s rating is the average of her visible reviews.

11. Acceptable use, reports and moderation

Do not use Sprivo for anything illegal, harmful, fraudulent or abusive. In particular, do not:

  • post or send content that is illegal, threatening, abusive, harassing, discriminatory or sexually explicit;
  • pretend to be someone else, or give false information about yourself, your services or a booking;
  • post other people’s personal data or photos without the right to do so, or upload anyone’s data unlawfully;
  • write fake reviews, reviews about yourself, or reviews that are not about the cleaning;
  • send spam or advertising;
  • scrape, reverse-engineer, overload or disrupt the service.

Reporting: anyone — including people without a Sprivo account — can report content on Sprivo that they believe is illegal or breaks these terms, by e-mail to legal@sprivo.app. With an account, you can also use the report option in a chat. Please tell us where the content is (for example the link to a booking page, or the name of the account), why you believe it is illegal or breaks these terms, and your name and e-mail address, and confirm that your report is made in good faith. We confirm that we have received it and tell you what we decided.

How we decide: a person reviews every report; we do not use automated tools to find or remove content. If content breaks the law or these terms, we may remove or hide it (for example a review), or restrict, suspend or close the account involved. When we do, we tell the person affected what we did and why — the facts, and the rule or law it is based on — unless the law forbids it or it would put someone at risk. You can reply to that message to contest our decision, and we will look at it again. You can also take the matter to court.

Point of contact: legal@sprivo.app is our single point of contact for users and for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act. You can write to us in English, Dutch or Portuguese.

12. Your content and our rights

The Sprivo app, the website and their content (apart from what users upload) are owned by us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive licence to use Sprivo for its intended purpose. Your data remains yours.

You keep ownership of what you upload or write — photos, your profile, messages and reviews. You give Sprivo a free, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, resize, translate and show it, only as far as needed to run the service: for example, to show your profile photo and description on your public booking page and, if you switch it on, in client search, or to translate your messages. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we are allowed to keep as described in our Privacy Policy. Only upload content you have the right to use.

13. Disclaimers

Sprivo is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or always available. We are not responsible for dealings, agreements or disputes between cleaning professionals and their clients, or between cleaners using Cover. This does not limit any rights that mandatory consumer law gives you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sprivo is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

15. Ending your account

You can stop using Sprivo at any time, and delete your account yourself at any time, in the app or at sprivo.app/delete-account. There is no download button for your data: ask for a copy at privacy@sprivo.app and we reply within one month. A paid subscription does not end just because you stop using Sprivo; section 5 explains how to cancel it, and our Privacy Policy (section 9) explains what deleting your account does. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law, as described in section 11.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when Sprivo changes or the law does. For changes that matter to you, we tell you at least 30 days before they take effect, by e-mail or in the app, and you can cancel your subscription or delete your account before then. Changes that are required by law, or that only make the text clearer, can take effect sooner. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed.

17. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be handled by the competent Dutch courts, unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you other rights, such as the right to go to the courts where you live. If you have a complaint, write to legal@sprivo.app first; we aim to reply within 14 days.

18. Data processing terms (cleaning professionals)

This section is the data processing agreement required by article 28 of the GDPR between you, as controller, and Sprivo, as processor, for the personal data about your clients and other people that you put into Sprivo for your business. It forms part of these terms and applies for as long as you use Sprivo.

  • Subject, nature and purpose: Sprivo stores and processes this data only to provide the service to you — your calendar, client list, bookings, chat (including translation), Cover and notifications.
  • Types of data and people concerned: your clients and the people in their households — names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, addresses, notes you write, booking details, and messages and photos exchanged in Sprivo.
  • Duration: as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy (section 9), including from backups within 30 days.
  • Instructions: we process the data only on your documented instructions — these terms and the way you use Sprivo’s features — unless EU or Dutch law requires otherwise; in that case we tell you first, unless the law forbids it. We tell you if we believe an instruction breaks data protection law.
  • Confidentiality: everyone at Sprivo who can access the data is bound to confidentiality.
  • Security: we take appropriate technical and organisational measures under article 32 of the GDPR, including encryption in transit, access controls that keep each account’s data separate, and hosting in the EU.
  • Sub-processors: you authorise us to use these sub-processors for this data: Supabase (database, file storage and login; hosted in the EU), DeepL (translation of chat messages; Germany), Resend (e-mail notifications; US), Expo and Apple (push notifications; US), Groq (speech to text, when you use the microphone; US) and Anthropic (the help assistant, only for what you type there; US). We bind each of them to data protection obligations of the same level. You also authorise us to look up the addresses typed or posted in the app with Photon, the public address search of Komoot (Germany): it receives the address text and, if you allow location access, your phone’s location (rounded to about 1 km from version 1.0.5 of the app; older versions send the precise location) — no name and no account. We use Photon under Komoot’s public terms, without a data processing agreement. We tell you at least 30 days before we add or replace a sub-processor, so that you can object; if you do, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before the change.
  • Transfers outside the EU: only with the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy (section 7).
  • Your clients’ rights: you can view, correct and delete your clients’ data in the app yourself. Where you need more, we help you answer requests from people who exercise their GDPR rights.
  • Help with your obligations: we help you, as far as we reasonably can with the information we have, with security, personal data breaches, data protection impact assessments and consultation of the supervisory authority.
  • Personal data breaches: we tell you without undue delay after we become aware of a breach that affects this data, with the information you need to meet your own obligations.
  • End of the service: when you delete your account, we delete the data as described above. Before that, you can ask for a copy at privacy@sprivo.app.
  • Audits: we give you the information you need to show that this section is complied with, and we allow and contribute to audits by you or an auditor you appoint, with reasonable notice and in a way that protects other users’ data.
  • Your responsibilities: you need a lawful basis for the data you add, and you must tell your clients how you use Sprivo (Privacy Policy, section 11).

Translations of these terms are provided for convenience; if there is any conflict, the English version applies.
